The stuff people ask at the counter. Still have a question? Call the shop at (740) 439-1122.
No, just bring your device to the counter during our open hours. All repairs are done in-shop at 611 Wheeling Ave. It’s a good idea to call first at (740) 439-1122 so we know you’re coming.
For computers and laptops, most jobs start with a flat $100 bench fee that covers labor. It’s paid up front and is non-refundable. Even if a device turns out to be unfixable, the diagnostic time is real work. Add-ons like an OS reinstall (+$20) or data transfer (+$30) stack onto that fee.
Part replacement adds the cost of the part on top of the bench fee. We won’t order anything without your authorization first; if troubleshooting turns up a part you need, you come pay for it before we place the order. Nothing happens without your OK.
A device cleanup is $40, and a reset or OS reinstall is $40. Part replacement (screen, battery, and so on) is $100 plus the cost of the part.
Console cleaning is $175, and new thermal paste adds $25. General troubleshooting starts at $100. If there’s no video, that starts at $200; usually the HDMI port needs to be replaced, which requires soldering (customers often call this an HDMI repair).
Yes. Data transfer is a $30 add-on to the bench fee. If your files matter to you, let us know when you drop the device off so we can plan for it.
No, we’re an in-shop repair shop only. Bring your device to us at 611 Wheeling Ave in downtown Cambridge and we’ll take it from there.
It depends on the device and what’s wrong with it and, for part replacements, how quickly the part comes in. We’ll give you a realistic timeframe when you drop it off.
